2012 Superbowl VS. Supermodels

by T

Congratulations to the Giants and their fans for the win of the 2012 Superbowl. It is so exciting the bask in the glory of being a winner, right? But, we know one person that wasn’t so happy after the game…

I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times. My husband cannot f—king throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time.

Supermodel and wife to Patriot’s quarterback Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen, was caught on video saying this after being escorted to an elevator after the game. Apparently, this statement was said after being heckled by a Giant’s fans on her way to the elevator.

Honestly, I think Gisele let the game and the taunting get the best of her. To blame some of Brady’s teammates for having slippery fingers is no way to show good sportsmanship, nor make them a fan of you any longer. Hey, there is still next year Mrs. Brady.

Moving on…

Good holy HOTTNESS! Adriana Lima brought the fire to Indianapolis with her not one, but TWO Superbowl ads. This just goes to prove that 2012 Superbowl Ad + hottie VS model= wowzers! Watch her sexy and sweet Teleflora commercial below. Hey, even use it to convince your guy to send you flowers.

But honestly, this little guy is spreading all the Superbowl happiness :-)

Crossing Over: When Friends become Stalkers

by Desi

"If this is what it takes to get you to use a phone as a phone..we have a problem."

It’s safe to say I have a lot of friends (not saying this in a pretentious way AT ALL) but my friends are all little different- I’ve met them through different times of my life and college career so of course we are friends on the standard social networks…Facebook..Twitter etcetera. But I’ve noticed that the line between friend/stranger has been dwindling down to a term I‘d like to call the “Friend Stalker”.

I want to say it all began as just a hunch in my junior year in college. For many, this is the year that you get into your major classes for your degree. Therefore you begin to make nice with people in your major (Let’s face it, I couldn’t talk about the importance of AP Style and my love of  Franz Kafka with my friends.) So while my schedule changed so did my balance of time did, which is pretty normal in school. What I realized wasn’t  was the  less texts and phone calls I received..the more facebook and twitter mentions I got in return. Sure social networks have become  more of a platform for us young folks (well besides our own vocal abilities) it shouldn’t cloud your mind of what the job of a friend is.

Towards the beginning of my senior year, things really got weird….I posted pictures and statuses about my summer and some of my friends would only make comments online. Now the weird thing is that many of my friends are just a hop and a skip away from where I lived…but have we become that reliable on social tools to just become plain out creepers!

I just hope that the Friend Stalker (patent pending) will just grow away soon..or at least before we realize  that we’re too old to use “social do-hickeys” in the future.

P.S- Girlies ..take the time to call your friends and actually have convos with them…you may appreciate the friendship more :)

A word to the wise…

by Desi

Hellooooo girlies! Hope all is well and all that good stuff! Thought I would share some of my personal journey with you all since it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I’ve been in major job searching mode since January for writing jobs. I’ve hit a couple of bumps but this journey has been an interesting one and definitely a learning experience. I’m also committing hard to my new years resolution too! (started a gym membership at LA Fitness!) I have a trainer and we start Monday! All in all, things are starting to look up and to all the girlies reading this remember to always keep your head up!!! :)

One of my favorite songs I listen to in the A.M before work!

Girly Fun: Google Searching “(year) girl”

by T

From time to time I look to google image search to spice up my posts. I heard somewhere that people prefer pictures to words or something.

If you remember my recent “My NYE Resolution WAS to…” posts you can see the 2012 image I included in the post. My original plan was to show a girl holding or somehow included with the image of 2012 included. So I searched “2012 girl” and I got something like this…

The 2012 girl struts around in her underwear!

My curiousity got the best of me. I wonder what the “2011 girl” looks like?

She lives in a wheat field!

Ok, how about the year I graduated from high school? “2007 Girl” please.

The "2007 Girl" is a prolific runner!

The girl of 2000!

I'm. not. sure. what's. going. on. here... O.o

Hmmm… How did that get in there?
